To be considered official, a transcript must come from a high school, college/university, or state department by mail, email, or hand delivered in the original sealed envelope.
What Does “Not Received,” “Incomplete,” or “Unofficial” Mean?
Not Received
We have not received your official transcript. Please send it to us.
Incomplete
- High School Transcripts: We received your transcript, but it does not show your graduation or completion date. Please resend it after your graduation date has been added.
- College Transcripts: If your transcript shows classes “In Progress” or future courses, it is incomplete. Send a new, official transcript once all final grades are posted.
Unofficial
We received your transcript, but it was sent in a way we cannot accept (for example, fax). To count as official, transcripts must be sent directly from your school, state department, or college by mail, email, or hand-delivered in a sealed envelope. Copies from the student are not accepted.
TECH/Not Required
Ozarks Tech does not need transcripts from colleges that are not regionally accredited, unless required by Financial Aid.

Important Notes for High School Transcripts
- If your transcript was issued under another name (such as a maiden name), email [email protected] so we can connect it to your record.
- Transcripts cannot be signed or issued by the student.
- All courses must list grades.
- Faxed transcripts are not accepted.
Public or Private High School
Must be sent by the school or delivered sealed. Must include graduation/completion date. Transcripts sent before graduation are always incomplete.
International High School
Must include graduation/completion date. A translated copy may be required.
Missouri Options Program
While the HiSET exam is used as an assessment tool, it does not qualify students for a Missouri HSE/GED. Students completing the Missouri Options Program will graduate with a high school diploma and must request an official high school transcript. The exam score cannot be verified on the Missouri Department of Education’s website.
Home School
Missouri rules require:
- Parent/guardian signature (student cannot sign)
- Home address at time of completion
- List of courses and grades (either alphabetical or percentages)
- Graduation date (cannot be future-dated)
Online High School
Most online diploma programs are not accepted. We strongly recommend a state-approved equivalency, such as the Missouri HiSET.
High School Equivalency (HSE/GED)
Missouri and Texas
- Missouri: Documents are available only at DiplomaSender.com.
- Texas: Certificates can be verified electronically. If it is not showing on your record, email [email protected].
- Other States: Request your official transcript from your state’s office.
Notes for HSE/GED

- “In Progress” coursework will not be evaluated until an updated transcript is sent.
