Discover opportunities to make music and build connections.

Your college experience can be about more than your coursework. Explore musical groups at Ozarks Tech to build your skills and make connections through music. Whether you already play an instrument, love to sing or want to learn something new, there is a way to make music a part of your college experience.

Jazz Ensemble

Explore the various styles and genres of traditional big band jazz music while building your skills and playing alongside other musicians. You’ll learn about improvisation and further develop your skills on your chosen instrument. Best of all, you have the opportunity to perform with your group at the fall and spring concert each semester, with other performance opportunities available as they arise.

The jazz ensemble is open to students who can read music on their chosen instrument, no audition required. Join the ensemble as an activity or enroll in MUS-145 to earn course credit. Complete the interest form to learn more.

Choir

Build your vocal skills, strengthen your technique and connect with other singers through Ozarks Tech’s choral groups. You’ll practice a variety of choral works, develop your performance skills and have the opportunity to perform at concerts and other performances as they arise each fall and spring semester.

Concert Choir is open to all students with some previous choir experience, with additional opportunities for advanced singers in Chamber Choir. Join as an activity or enroll in MUS-235 to earn course credit. Complete the interest form to learn more

Try Something New

Looking for something fun to add to your coursework? Beginner piano and guitar courses give you the opportunity to learn a new skill and discover a new hobby you can enjoy long after the semester ends.

No prior experience is required to register. Talk to your College Navigator about adding MUS-132 Piano I or MUS-150 Guitar Class I to your schedule or reach out to the Ars Department to learn more.
