Politically Active club is having our first ever “mini-convention” — a series of meetings exploring and understanding the people who literally make our government work. Or, well, try to. We have three sessions scheduled where a different “level” of elected official(s) will elucidate what it is they do and why, explain what it’s like to work on their level of government, as well as the “loves” and “loathes” that come with their specific gig.
All sessions will be on Friday, April 18th, in PMC 103:
10:00am: Local Government
SPS School Board Members Dr. Maryam Mohammadkhani & Dr. Shurita Thomas-Tate
Noon: State Government
Missouri House of Representatives Members Betsy Fogle & Alex Riley
2:00pm: National Government
U.S. House of Representatives Member Eric Burlison
