A. Purpose
To provide a process for awarding multiple degrees and certificates to students based on completed course work.
B. Policy
The college will establish criteria and processes for the awarding of multiple degrees and certificates for students who meet the qualifications of such programs.
C. Procedures
Students may pursue more than one program of study within a degree type or may complete multiple degree types. The exception is that students who have already completed an Associate of Arts degree are not eligible to receive an Associate of Interdepartmental Studies degree. However, students who have completed the Associate of Interdepartmental Studies degree may later return to complete the requirements for any additional degree type.
When pursuing more than one program of study within the same degree type, the programs must differ in requirements by at least 15 credit hours for an associate-level degree type or 9 credit hours for a certificate-level degree type.
