Ozarks Tech Named 2026 Great College to Work For

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Ozarks Tech has again been named one of the nation’s best colleges to work for by the Great Colleges to Work For® program, an honor driven by employee feedback.

For the fourth year, the college has earned the program’s highest distinction, the Great Colleges Honor Roll, placing it among the nation’s top four two-year institutions in our size category.

“This honor is really about our people,” said Chancellor Hal Higdon. “Our employees care about our students and the communities we serve, and they work hard every day to help our students succeed. That commitment is what makes Ozarks Tech a great place to work.”

The Great Colleges to Work For® survey is based on a two-part assessment process. Institutions provide information about workplace policies and employment practices, while a random sample of faculty, administrators and staff complete a comprehensive employee survey. Employee feedback is the primary factor in determining recognition.

In 2026, Ozarks Tech earned recognition in six categories:

The results, released in a special insert of The Chronicle of Higher Education, are based on survey responses from employees at 171 colleges and universities nationwide. Results are reported by institution size, with Ozarks Tech classified among large institutions serving 10,000 or more students.
