Ozarks Tech has partnered with the Missouri Sheriffs’ Association to offer law enforcement training at its Richwood Valley campus, with coursework eligible for college credit.
The 700-hour Basic Peace Officer Law Enforcement Academy is designed to recruit candidates from Christian, Stone and Taney counties and to build a pipeline of qualified applicants for agencies across southwest Missouri.
Courses will be taught by Missouri Sheriffs’ Association instructors and will exceed the state’s minimum training requirements for peace officer licensing. Registration is open through July 20, 2026. The full-time academy runs from Aug. 3 through Dec. 16.
Graduates will receive articulation credit toward a certificate of specialization or an associate degree at Ozarks Tech. For more information or to apply, visit the Missouri Sheriffs’ Association.
