Everything you need to know about My Payment Plan.
My Payment Plan, provided through Nelnet Campus Commerce, lets you pay tuition and fees in monthly installments.
It’s not a loan. There are no interest charges, no credit checks, and no long-term debt.
To keep your classes, you must sign up the same day you register each semester.

How to Sign Up for My Payment Plan
- Log in to myOTC.
- Select Student Accounts.
- Click My Payment Plan.

- Read and confirm the agreement.
- Save or print your confirmation email.
You must complete these steps the same day you register, or your classes will be dropped.
Payment Methods
Payments are automatic. Most students use a bank account (ACH transfer), but debit and credit cards are also accepted. However, debit and ATM cards may fail because of daily limits.
Payment fees
- Ozarks Tech charges a $10 missed payment fee if a payment fails.
- Nelnet will assess a $15 returned payment fee.
- If a plan is terminated early, a $30 default fee applies.
What if I am expecting financial aid?
All students must sign up for My Payment Plan on the same day they register in order to complete and secure their registration. While My Payment Plan is a monthly payment plan which initially requires you to agree to pay your full balance over the course of the plan, be aware that any anticipated aid* will be factored into your My Payment Plan agreement AFTER you complete and submit the agreement.
*Anticipated aid is based on a complete financial aid file.
Common Questions
- Paying in full: Some students want to pay in full after registration. Payment in full is allowed AFTER My Payment Plan is complete.
- Proxy payers: If someone else is paying for you, you must set them up as a proxy in myOTC first.
- Waitlisted classes: If you are waitlisted for all of your classes, you have no balance, so you do not have to sign up for My Payment Plan until you are placed in a class via the waitlist process. You will receive an email to notify you once you are enrolled in a class you were waitlisted for. You will then have until midnight the same day you are registered to enroll in My Payment Plan. Once you have a My Payment Plan established for the semester, you do not need to do it again. So, if you are already enrolled in My Payment Plan when you become registered for a waitlisted class, there is nothing further you need to do.
- Late-start classes (14-week or 8-week): You must still set up your plan the day you register. Registering later just means fewer payments remain.
- Third-party funding (Trade Act, Vocational Rehab, etc.): All students expecting outside funding must still complete My Payment Plan on the same day of registration. Please make sure your third-party sends an authorization to the college soon after you register.
Your Responsibilities
When you register, you agree to pay tuition and fees. My Payment Plan helps you manage the cost, but it doesn’t remove your obligation. Each semester requires a new plan. Missed payments aren’t reattempted, and unpaid balances may be sent to collections with up to a 35% charge. Students with outstanding balances cannot register for future classes.
