This coming April, we get to look forward to an urgently important local election on April 8th. 80% of the area may ignore it, including an even higher percentage of college students. But OTC and Politically Active won’t.
The first Wednesday back from Break, March 26th, Politically Active is hosting host our fifth annual Springfield Votes event, from 5:30pm to 7:00pm in PMC 103! All twelve candidates on the ballot will be in PMC 103 at designated tables greeting students and members of the community and having, we hope, dozens of fruitful conversations to help voters get a better feel for the names they’ll see when they go vote — and drive a few more folks to the polls in the process.

City council Zone 1: Monica Horton
City council Zone 4: Matt Simpson, Bruce Adib-Yazdi
City council General A: Heather Hardinger, Eric Pauly
City council General B: Craig Hosmer
SPS School Board (two open seats): Kelly Byne, Sarah Hough, Gail Smart, Dave Myers
All twelve will be in the room. Feel free to come yourself and meet any of them!
