Protecting the integrity of our admissions, financial aid, and educational processes is vital to upholding Ozarks Tech’s mission of academic excellence and for supporting the success of our community.

A Collaborative Approach to Integrity

Fraud prevention, detection, and response are not handled by a single office; rather, they represent a collaborative effort across multiple campus divisions. By working together, our administrative, academic, and security teams ensure that institutional resources are protected and fairly distributed.

Verification and Identity Protection

To safeguard our community and resources, the College reserves the right to verify the identity, academic record, and eligibility of all applicants seeking admission and/or financial aid. As part of this verification process, students may be required to provide additional documentation, such as a government-issued ID, to confirm their identity.

Impact on Student Status and Right to Appeal

The College takes a proactive stance against deceptive practices. A student’s access to educational services—including class registration, financial aid disbursements, and student support services—may be immediately revoked if reasonable evidence of fraudulent activity is discovered. Any student affected by such action retains the right to appeal the decision.

Referral to Legal Authorities

When appropriate, suspected fraudulent conduct will be referred to external authorities for investigation, including local law enforcement and the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Inspector General.

By ensuring accountability at every level, we protect the value of your education and the fairness of our campus community. For questions regarding verification processes or to report suspicious activity, please contact the Office of the Registrar.
