Student Application for Articulated Credit

You’ll enroll in approved courses at your high school that can be used later to count towards an Ozarks Tech technical degree program. These courses have been approved by Ozarks Tech to count toward an Ozarks Tech certificate or degree.

How Articulated Credit Works

Students typically start these programs while in high school and continue their pathway at Ozarks Tech for advanced college training. To qualify:

Steps to Earn College Credit

Step 1: Find Your Class Options

Review the list of available courses at your school below.

Step 2: Complete Requirements While in High School

  • Create your CATEMA account using accurate MOSIS, Date of Birth, and a non–high school email address. Your high school must create the approved course before you can register in the CATEMA database.

  • Enroll in each eligible course and have your high school representative approve your enrollment.
  • Maintain at least a 2.0 overall GPA and a 3.0 (80% or higher) in each articulated course.
  • Once approved, your instructor will mark your CATEMA registration as “recommended for credit.”

Step 3: Apply for Credit at Ozarks Tech

  • Within two years of high school graduation, complete at least one college-level course at Ozarks Tech.
  • Submit the Student Application for Articulated Credit—this is the only way to have your credits posted to your Ozarks Tech transcript. An advisor or navigator can help you with the application.
  • Approved credits appear as “JA” or “JB” grades on your Ozarks Tech transcript.

Apply for Scholarships

If you successfully complete an approved articulated credit course and later enroll at Ozarks Tech you are eligible for the OTC Articulated Credit Scholarship.
