If you’ve been an Ozarks Tech student before, here’s how to come back and finish your degree.
If you previously attended Ozarks Tech and want to complete your program, you’ll reapply as a returning student. You can pick up where you left off, use the credits you’ve already earned, and get support to finish what you started.
If you took classes somewhere else since your time at Ozarks Tech, you’re considered a Transfer Student. Your steps will be a little different.
How to get started
Step 1: Apply to return
Submit the free Ozarks Tech application and select “Returning Student” when asked about your admission type.
Step 2: Watch for your login information
After your application is processed, you’ll receive an email with your Ozarks Tech account and login credentials for myOTC. If it’s been more than a few years since you attended, your old login may no longer be active—you’ll get new credentials automatically.
Step 3: Connect with your college navigator
Once your account is active, look out for contact from your college navigator. Your navigator is your main person throughout your time at Ozarks Tech. They’ll help you:
- Review how your previous Ozarks Tech courses apply to your degree
- Plan your next semester and build a schedule
- Complete financial aid and scholarship steps
- Get connected to tutoring or other student success resources
Step 4: Register and plan for payment
If you’d rather move forward on your own, you can register directly in myOTC and set up a payment plan or pay tuition in full.
You can find tuition rates, payment options, and refund schedules online.
Restart with a clean slate
If you attended Ozarks Tech more than three years ago and had a cumulative GPA below 2.0, you may qualify for Academic Fresh Start—a one-time opportunity to remove older grades and restart with a renewed GPA.
Make college affordable
Returning students may qualify for several financial aid programs and scholarships, including:
- Ozarks Tech scholarships available to degree-seeking students
- The Fast Track Workforce Incentive Grant, which helps Missourians 25+ (or under 25 with at least two years away from college) pay for programs in high-demand fields—more than 90 Ozarks Tech programs qualify
- VIP Tuition for students 60 and older, allowing eligible Missouri residents to take classes at a reduced rate
