How to get started
How to get started
Step 1: Apply for admission
Step 2: Send your transcripts
The application will help you submit your high school transcript or GED/HiSET record.
Step 3: Apply for financial aid & scholarships
Fill out the FAFSA to be considered for financial aid, grants and scholarships. Don’t forget to list Ozarks Tech’s school code, 030830, so we can receive your information. Your student success team member is here to help you through the process.
After you submit your FAFSA, consider applying for scholarships.
Meet your admissions counselor
When you apply, you’ll be paired with an admissions counselor who will guide you through everything you need before your first day of class. Your counselor will help you:
- Complete orientation and register for classes
- Set up your payment plan
- Apply for financial aid and scholarships
- Learn how to use myOTC, Canvas, and other student tools
Your counselor is your go-to person for questions during the enrollment process. Once classes begin, you’ll transition to your college navigator—someone who will support you throughout your time at Ozarks Tech.

Plan for your future
Many students start at Ozarks Tech and then continue to a four-year university. Through transfer agreements with Missouri’s public colleges and universities, you can apply your associate degree toward a bachelor’s degree with a smooth transition.
Your navigator can help you choose classes that align with your long-term goals, so every credit counts.
Make college affordable
Ozarks Tech keeps tuition low, and most students qualify for financial assistance. Options include:
- A+ Scholarship for eligible Missouri high school graduates
- Federal financial aid
- Ozarks Tech scholarships for students of all kinds of backgrounds, programs, and academic performance
Your admissions counselor can help you complete your FAFSA, check your A+ eligibility, and explore scholarship opportunities.
Learn Your Way
College should fit your life, not the other way around. You can take classes in person, online, or in hybrid formats. Whatever works best for your schedule, learning style, and program.

Find your footing. Find your future.
From tutoring and counseling to campus involvement and student life, you’ll have a full network of support to help you succeed in and out of class.
