What is medical simulation?

Medical simulation is used to bridge the gap between traditional classroom learning and patient care. It allows healthcare professionals and students to learn, practice, and improve their skills in a safe, realistic environment. Instead of practicing on real patients, learners utilize high-fidelity simulators which have the ability to replicate just about any injury or condition.

After the simulation is complete, learners take part in a debrief session where they gain invaluable insight into many factors about their care, and the patient’s condition. This allows them to make educated decisions and adjustments to their practice moving foward, which leads to more positive patient outcomes.

Our Mission is to provide a safe educational environment for learners to gain confidence in their care, develop their skills, become excellent care providers, and support practicing providers with ongoing education and training.
