What the College Can Share About You
Some basic information from your student record, called directory information, may be released by Ozarks Tech unless you request otherwise in writing.
What Counts as Directory Information
The following items are considered directory information and may be shared without your written consent:
- Student name
- Major field of study
- Part-time or full-time enrollment status
- Dates of attendance
- Matriculation and withdrawal dates
- Awards and honors
- Mailing address
- Academic classification (freshman/sophomore)
- Participation in recognized activities and photos
- Degrees and certificates earned
- Memberships in national honor societies
- Inclusion in group photos
Denying the Release of Directory Information
If you do not want your directory information shared, you must notify the Registrar in writing. Ozarks Tech will honor your request until you submit written notice to remove it.
Important Implications
If you choose not to share directory information, Ozarks Tech will block all releases until you change your request. This means:
- Employers, loan companies, or family members who ask will be told Ozarks Tech has no record of you
- If you call or request information without showing photo ID, you will also be told the college has no record of you
How to Deny or Revoke Directory Information
You may deny the release of your directory information — or revoke a previous denial — at any time through DocuSign.
