If you don’t see a club that fits, make one
Starting a student club is your chance to build something from the ground up. Whether it’s a shared interest, a cause you care about, or just a fun idea, you can bring people together and make it happen.
For New Clubs or Organizations Only. New student clubs must register with the Office of Student Engagement. This process gives us officer contact information. It helps us provide support, resources, and promote the clubs through publications, events, and social media.
How to Register a Club
Starting a new student organization is exciting, but it does require college approval. Follow these steps to make your club official:
- Review the Student Club Handbook.
- Find a full-time Ozarks Tech faculty or exempt full-time staff member to serve as your club advisor.
- Complete the Registration Form, including:
- Your club’s constitution or by-laws (see sample: Politically Active Sample Constitution)
- A list of officers and their Ozarks Tech emails
- Advisor’s name and campus location
- The process to join and meeting requirements
- Social handles, if applicable
- Submit your materials to the Office of Student Engagement for approval.
- Watch for a registration confirmation email once you’re approved. Keep this on file — it’s proof your club is official.
- After new officers are elected, complete the renewal process to keep your club active.
