Support for planning, practicing, and delivering stronger presentations
The Speech Communication Center helps you prepare and rehearse oral presentations in a friendly, low-stress setting.
Tutors guide you through choosing a topic, researching it, organizing your content, and practicing your delivery. You can work on individual speeches or group presentations, and you can record yourself to review your progress.
All services are free for Ozarks Tech students.
Visit the Speech Communication Center
The center is located inside the Carol Jones Writing Center, about 40 yards east of Student Account Services. Walk-ins are welcome, but making an appointment is encouraged so you can plan enough time to rehearse.
Tutors help you prepare your presentation from start to finish. You can:
• Talk through your topic and main points
• Build a clear outline
• Practice delivery at your own pace
• Record your presentation and review it with support
If you are preparing a group presentation, the center can help your entire group rehearse together.

Operating Hours:
- Monday-Thursday: 8:00 am – 7:00 pm
- Friday: 8:00 am – 3:00 pm
Reserved Walk-In Hours:
- Tuesday: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
- Wednesday: 11:30 am – 2:00 pm
- Friday: 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm
Walk-ins are welcome but appointments are highly encouraged.
