For off-campus testing, non-Ozarks Tech exams, or special exam formats.

Some exams require special arrangements—like taking a test for another school, completing a dual credit course off campus, or using remote proctoring for an online class. Testing Services supports a variety of proctoring options to help you meet these needs. Proctoring services for non-Ozarks Tech students are also available.

Take my proctored event for online COM 105 class

For COM 105, you’ll complete your proctored assignment through a live appointment either online or in-person with the Speech Communication Center. This includes:

  • ID verification at the start of your session (in person or Zoom)
  • Review of your Role Model Speech draft (must be in Microsoft Word)
  • Uploading your draft to Canvas before the appointment

Your instructor will share dates and instructions early in the semester.

Take my proctored exam for my math course

Some math courses require you to take your proctored exams in person at a testing facility – some allow the use of Proctorio.  Please contact your instructor for help identifying which of the these is most appropriate for your class.

Other Proctoring Options

Off-Campus Proctoring Requests (OTC Dual Credit or Remote Students)

If you’re an Ozarks Tech student requesting to take an exam at a non-OTC location (such as a high school or other approved site), you must submit a proctoring request form.

This option is typically used for:

  • Dual credit students testing at their high school
  • Remote students needing to test near their home or workplace

What to know:

  • Requests must be submitted at least 2 business days in advance
  • A proctor must meet Ozarks Tech’s approval criteria (e.g., school staff, librarians, military education officers)
  • Not allowed for COM-100/105 or Proctorio-based exams
  • Approval is not guaranteed—Testing Services will contact the proctor to confirm details
  • Once approved, OTC will send exam materials to the proctor prior to the testing date

Non-Ozarks Tech Exams (Community Testing)

If you’re not an Ozarks Tech student and need to have an exam proctored, we may be able to help.

What to know:

  • All proctoring is by appointment only
  • A $20 proctoring fee is required per exam
    • Pay online through Commerce Manager (addt’l $3 processing fee)
    • Bring your printed receipt with you on test day
  • We do not mail paper exams—tests must be sent and returned electronically
  • Computer-based exams must not require software downloads or browser extensions
  • You must bring a valid photo ID to your appointment
  • Guests and children are not allowed in Testing Centers
