High School Health Sciences

Explore health care occupations and earn college credit during your junior and senior year.

Get a jump-start academically and professionally with high school health science courses. You’ll explore health care occupations while you earn both high school and college credit.

Who Can Apply

You are eligible to apply for the program if you have:

• A GPA of 3.0 or above
• Attendance rate of at least 90%
• Counselor recommendation
• Completed half of your graduation required credits

About the Program

The High School Health Science program is a two-year program that for high school juniors and seniors offered through the Ozarks Tech Career Center.

During your first year in the program, you will get acquainted with college learning with prerequisite courses required for Ozarks Tech Health Service programs. You will also complete training to work as a CNA with over 100 clinical hours. This program is an approved as a nursing assistant training agency by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.

The second year of the program you will further explore health care professions. Through clinical rotations, you’ll have the opportunity to discuss career options with local professionals in your chosen area of interest.
