Request Public Information
You have the right to request public information under Missouri’s Sunshine Law (Revised Missouri Statute (RSMo) Chapter 610).
How to Request
- Fill out the form. Complete the Request for Public Information form.
- Describe what you need. Be specific so we can find the records quickly (see tips below).
- Send your form to the Custodian of Records. Submit it as directed on the form.
Tips to Speed Up Your Request
- List dates or date ranges.
- Name the departments, programs, or topics involved.
- Include record types (emails, reports, contracts, policies, etc.).
- If possible, share names, titles, keywords, or file names.
- Tell us your preferred format (electronic or paper copies).
After You Submit
Your request will be reviewed and answered under RSMo 610.023 and Ozarks Tech policy 6.40 – Public Information Requests.
Possible Fees
As allowed by RSMo 610.026 and policy 6.40, fees may apply. Examples include:
- Copy fees (paper or electronic copies)
- Research/setup time (at the employee’s hourly rate with benefits)
- Shipping or media (postage, flash drives, etc.)
