Share Your Story as a Student Speaker
Student Speaker Applications open Feb. 2 and close on Feb. 27.
Represent your class with a 3–5 minute speech about your journey, challenges, and successes at Ozarks Tech. One student speaker is selected for each ceremony.

What to Expect
- You’ll attend a sound check and rehearsal before the event.
- You’ll get professional photos taken for the commencement program, and a press release written.
- It’s a memorable way to be part of this milestone celebration.
Apply to be the student speaker
- You are receiving a degree or certificate at the 2026 commencement ceremonies.
- You have contributed to Ozarks Tech campus culture.
- You’re in good academic standing with the college.
- You can present to the Commencement Committee if selected as a finalist.
- A 3–5 minute speech (about 500–750 words).
- A clear, audience-focused message fit for the occasion.

- Inspires and encourages fellow graduates.
- Shares a specific story from your OTC experience (service, work–school balance, community work, challenges, risks, key learning).
- Clear structure, meaningful content, respectful tone.
- Gratitude and “pay it forward” themes.
