Commencement Speakers

Dr. Tracy McGrady – Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs

Dr. McGrady has served as the Provost for Ozarks Tech for the past eight years. Her career in higher education spans nearly three decades. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in Communication from Missouri State University, as well as a doctorate in Instructional Leadership from Lindenwood University.

Ceremony One Student Speaker: Mary Higginbotham

As a single mother to her three children, Mary made the decision to return to college in 2022 with a desire to better her future for herself and her children. Mary’s journey through Ozarks Tech has been marked by her significant growth and achievement both inside and outside the classroom.

Derek’s journey through Ozarks Tech is defined by his commitment to building meaningful connections and a drive to learn from every opportunity he encounters. When Derek first stepped on campus in 2022 he wasn’t sure exactly where his path would lead.
